Crossing my fingers until they hurt: here’s to return to campus next term

While most students at Malmö University have been lucky enough to come back to campus last term, we in international programs and courses have not had the chance. After two years of online-schooling, I am so waiting to come back to campus next term!
The last time I was so excited to go back to school that I just wanted the summer to be over, I was eight. That’s what two years of Zoom University did to me. I only have one year left in my program – and have had exactly zero on-campus classes. There’s a lot of students in the same situation as me, and it’s been tough. Socializing is a big part of education, so to have to make do without it can be disheartening.
But – it’s time to look at the bright side. I’ve had enough of talking about the (completely valid!) struggles of online schooling. Right now I’m all about looking forward to the next term. I’m crossing my fingers that the situation will continue to improve and we’ll be able to return to campus and make the most of our studies.
Have a good summer, everyone, and see you in September!
